Southwest to cut jobs, airports served

The Dallas-based airline said it had expected 46 737 planes from the plane maker this year, but will receive only 20.

Southwest plans to stop flying to Syracuse New York, Cozumel Mexico, Bellingham Washington and Houston.

For its part, Boeing has recorded a US$355 million net loss in the March quarter after an Alaska Airlines 737 MAX 9 shed a cabin panel mid flight.

The plane landed safely.
