Sydney to host FIFA women’s football convention 18-19 August

Sydney, Australia has secured the second edition of the FIFA Women’s Football Convention from 18 - 19 August 2023 to conclude the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, which ends with the final in Sydney.


Held at the International Convention Centre Sydney, the convention will host 1,000 delegates over two days in Sydney with an estimated value to the NSW economy of A$1.2 million. 

Together with leaders from the world of football, delegates will discuss the development of women’s football, whilst showcasing best practices to further inspire the growth of the women’s game around the world.

Commenting on the announcement, Gianni Infantino, president FIFA said: “We are at a remarkable moment in the development of women’s football. As we witness the greatest-ever FIFA Women’s World Cup – with records being broken on a daily basis – it is essential that we also maintain this momentum across all aspects of our sport."
