EIBTM to tackle Twitter et al

Creativity, innovation, Generation Y, the impact of social media and the future of technology in the meetings industry all will be tackled at EIBTM this year in the event’s daily 'Technology Hour' sessions.

International experts will address these sessions, highlighting the ever-shifting developments, trends and new IT products and services available to the industry.

Maarten Vanneste, president - Meeting Support Institute, will moderate a session on new technology where participants will be shown how to build a shopping list of new tools that can be used at future events.

Martin Sirk, chief executive of ICCA, will head another session discussing Generation Y and how they influence what technologies are used - now and in the future.

Participants attending the Wednesday session will be able to meet the winner of this year’s EIBTM WorldWide Technology Watch, who will present a short overview of the winning technology product for the meetings industry.

The final session on Thursday 03 December sees Corbin Ball (Corbin Ball Associates) reviewing the current social media trends and identifying what’s hot for 2010. Technology Hour seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and organisers say the sessions are expected to be popular.
EIBTM takes place 01-03 December at Fira Gran Via, Barcelona, Spain.
