SIA upgrades Cairns run to A350s

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has started using an Airbus A350-900 aircraft on Cairns, Queensland, Australia services, upgrading from the B737 MAX 8.


The carrier's regional vp South West Pacific Louis Arul said: "The introduction of the Airbus A350 ... reflects our confidence in North Queensland's tourism and trade market. We are delighted to deliver around 23,000 extra seats as well as an additional almost 2,500 tonnes of cargo capacity per year to North Queensland exporters."
