Changi cuts rebates, reports traffic growth

In December 2008 the airport announced that airlines would have a 25 per cent rebate on landing fees, but it has now revised that figure downward for the first six months of 2010 to 15 per cent and to 10 per cent for the second half.

The airport says for the two-year period starting in July 2009, it will refrain from increasing aeronautical charges.

For the three consecutive months of August, September and October 2009, Changi’s passenger numbers grew by 0.5 per cent, 6.0 per cent and 6.0 per cent and on November 25, weekly scheduled flights hit a historical high of 4,880, up about nine per cent year-on-year.
