Asia Pacific down 13.1pc for BA

UK carrier British Airways has reported a slight decline in August traffic network-wide, despite it being a key northern hemisphere leisure travel period.

Asia Pacific numbers dropped 13.1 per cent and premium passengers were down 11.9 per cent. Non premium customers rose 1.3 per cent.


Revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) fell 0.7 per cent to 10.87 billion from 10.95 billion in August 2008 and passengers carried during the month totalled 3.16 million.
