Amsterdam offers events carbon calculator

Amsterdam RAI of the Netherlands now offers organisers of exhibitions and conferences the opportunity to make their events carbon neutral using its online Event Carbon Calculator.

The calculator takes several energy-consuming components into account including energy use during the proposed event, the use of  transport and any overnight stays.


The event can be made carbon neutral by offsetting all the energy used.


To do this, organisers acquire carbon credits, which are then offset against renewable energy projects, mostly in developing countries.
