Norwegian says it has big growth plans for the 220 aircraft on order

Europe's Norwegian airline has refuted rivals' claims that it faces 'cash challenges' and says it wants to add more Asian and possibly South American routes.
It launched a UK-Singapore service in September and starts flying to Buenos Aires in February.

The airline's head of Sales UK and Ireland Dominic Tucker says far from having trouble, it has 220 aircraft on order.

"We've got big growth plans for the UK," he said. "We're going to focus on long-haul as the business model seems very sustainable."

He said the airline currently was operating with 85 per cent load factor on short-haul routes, and 96 per cent on long-haul.
