Police called to airport after delay-hit passengers 'went crazy'

Police entered a British Airways jet at London Heathrow on Monday after passengers 'went mad' when their Las Vegas departure was abandoned for a second time in two days.
It was abandoned on Sunday (due to a technical fault) and again on Monday (because of a baggage problem).

When the second flight was cancelled just before take-off, passengers reportedly 'went crazy' and police were called.

A BA spokeswoman said: "We fully appreciate how frustrating this experience has been, and have apologised to our customers for the long delay to their flight.

"We provided refreshments, hotel accommodation and help with expenses during the delay."
